3rd International Conference on Computer & Emerging Technologies
February 14-16, 2013

ICCET is an annual conference to provide forum to present ongoing research in different domains related to computer & emerging technologies. After success of ICCET 2011 & ICCET 2012, the 3rd international conference ICCET 2013 has been announced at SALU Khairpur on February 14-16, 2013 with the support of Higher Education Commission & Pakistan Science Foundation, Islamabad.

Publications: All accepted papers will be published in Conference Proceedings and the extended versions will be sent to publish in special issues of HEC Recognized journal(s) (Available in ISI Thomson’s Master List). This will be counted for PhD and promotions.

Important Dates:
• Submission of papers November 30, 2012
• Notification of Acceptance December 31, 2012
• Final version Due January 10, 2013
• Registration January 18, 2013
• Conference Dates February 14-16, 2013

 The First GiT4NDM was held on May 8-9, 2007 in Esfahan, Iran. In this event, more than 600 delegates attended. The Second GiT4NDM was held  in Bangkok, Thailand on January 30-31, 2009 with more than 250 people in attendance. The Third GiT4NDM was held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on October 19-20, 2010, which attracted more than 270 people around the world. The 4th GiT4NDM is going to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on November 7-8, 2012. The 5th GiT4NDM will be held for the first time in North America.

WIDM and Dewey College Welcomed University British Columbia (UBC) Visitors

A half day meeting at Mississauga between Dr. Saied Pirasteh, The President of WIDM and Dr. Rehan Sadiq, “Program Coordinator – Civil Engineering Program” School of Engineering, University British Columbia (UBC), Okanagan Campus was held.  Prof. Kasun Hewage and Prof. Rehan Sadiq visited Dewey College and WIDM department on August 15, 2012. Both parties have shown their promising interest to exploring possible available potential for collaboration in future.

Condolence Message from WIDM President

On behalf of the WIDM, I expressed great sorrow for the victims of the two earthquakes in Azarbaijan, North West of Iran. I send my condolences to the families of the victims and the Iranian people for the two powerful earthquakes struck northwest Iran on Saturday, August 11, 2012 leaving 227 people dead and 1,380 injured, according to officials.

WIDM and BEI sign MOU

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Waterloo Institute Disaster Management (WIDM), Mississauga and Beyond English Immersion (BEI), Toronto on July 9, 2012. WIDM and BEI will work closely together to develop joint programs and explore the market needs. In this Memorandum of Understanding, both parties express the desire to extend their collaboration and to conduct short courses in different fields of science, Geo-information technology, summer camps, English course, services for editing to authors for publications and consultancy in any related future development. For this purpose they have undertaken to exchange know-how and experience, in particular in the fields of English training, developing professional courses and diploma through third party, and other possible potential scientific development activities.

11th International Symposium and Exhibition on Geoinformation (ISG)

ISG is the premier educational event for professionals involved in geoinformation technologies, including geographic information systems (GIS), GPS, remote sensing, automated mapping/facilities management (AM/FM), underground utility mapping, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and related geospatial technologies.

ISG brings together scientist from academia, industry and government to analyze progress and to explore new research directions. It focuses on emerging topics and basic research findings across all sectors of geoinformation technologies. WIDM and BEI Collaboration

Waterloo Institute Disaster Management (WIDM) is intending to make a joint collaboration program with Beyond English Immersion (BEI) Training Centre, Toronto ( BEI is the best value and fastest English Fluency training available. Mr. Thomas W. Dean, The President of BEI visited WIDM’s President at Dewey College on June 25, 2012 and discussed about the possible opportunities for collaboration in a near future.   The President of WIDM, Dr. Saied Pirasteh has emphasised on the professional and upgrading programs through BEI.  He believes that the foundation of a strong sustainable collaboration should be made from the core of the common understanding from both parties in order to have any successful programs.
